Hello,

According to your description, the so-called workarea of SiteKiosk, which is generally based on the screen resolution of the Windows system, is no longer correct. This can happen if the resolution is changed after the client is started or when the system is restarted while the monitor was (physically) switched off (e.g. during a standard restart at 4 a.m. >SiteKiosk configuration>Maintenance).
The watchdog background will be adjusted dynamically, but the browser area of SiteKiosk Classic Windows will remain at the resolution that was set under Windows when SiteKiosk was started.

You should make sure that you restart the system via SiteKiosk outside the time when the monitor is (physically) switched off.
Or you can have SiteKiosk switch the monitor off and on via Windows (not physically).
SiteKiosk Configuration>Maintenance
Generally, also make sure that hibernate mode in Windows is deactivated (e.g. via the command line: powercfg /h off) so that the computer restarts / shuts down completely

Alternatively, you can also take a look at our current product SiteKiosk Online, where the above problem does not occur.

Please also note, that SiteRemote, SiteCaster and SiteKiosk Classic are legacy products, you will only receive service updates (security updates and bug fixes) for until the end of 2025.

SiteKiosk Online is designed from scratch and, except for the start mode of the client software, everything is configured on the SiteKiosk Online server (in the projects you can publish on the client computers).
With SiteKiosk Online you can create interactive content as well as display scheduled and event-driven content.
The licensing of the client is also handled by the server and you no longer need to store any licensing information on the client.
See https://sitekiosk.online/help/en/Licensingtheclient.html

We also offer upgrade licenses from SiteKiosk Classic to SiteKiosk Online (SiteKiosk Online Cloud - Upgrade):
https://sitekiosk.com/eu/web/Shop/Shop.aspx?GroupIdx=1

You can test everything before you purchase any license.
Simply create a so-called team at https://sitekiosk.online

After creating and logging in to your team, you can create a new project under >Projects (e.g. with Browser Template), which can then be published to the SiteKiosk Online Client(s), that you have registered to the team.

The client software can be downloaded under >Dashboard>Downloads (there is client software for Windows and for Android).
System requirements: https://sitekiosk.online/help/en/SystemRequirements.html

After installing the SiteKiosk Online Client, log in to your team at sitekiosk.online (there is also a client available for Windows that automatically registers in to your team) and you can then publish the project.
