The terminals help to increase efficiency and improve communication by providing a centralised and easily accessible information platform. The positive response from employees has prompted E.DIS Netz GmbH to plan an expansion of the terminals.

The now available update to Version 1.4 must therefore be initiated manually one last time. Subsequently, all future versions can be performed directly through the automatic update function.

Additionally, the pages for the machine log and team auditing have been redesigned, now allowing filtering and searching for specific entries.

Two new menu designs have been added as project templates. These are available in both vertical and horizontal variants.

For accurate analysis, the Playlog for pop-ups must now be exclusively enabled in its properties. In previous versions, this was implicitly counted.

Pop-ups can be manually positioned instead of always being centered.

Furthermore, various bugs have been fixed, and technical optimizations have been implemented.

We improve SiteKiosk Online at regular intervals with a wide range of feature and function updates. Previously, bug fixes and service content were part of these update packages, which were usually released four times a year.

In order to minimise the time between updates and to be able to publish bug fixes and service content more quickly, we are now following a new update structure:
This separates service and bug fixing updates from the large feature and function update packages. From now on, version number-related service updates will be published with the aim of fixing minor problems and errors within the current version.

This new update structure enables us to fix faulty processes within the current SiteKiosk Online version with pinpoint accuracy and at the same time optimise the use of the software.

The latest service update for version 1.3.10046 is now available and contains the following content:

Thanks to the security provided by SiteKiosk Online, the security level of the POS systems has significantly increased. For this year’s Erwin Hymer Group stand design, newly configured interactive information steles were used for the first time, with the aim of giving visitors an understanding of the technical data of the various vehicle models in a modern way. SiteKiosk Online was used to secure, remotely maintain and record the 44 terminals in total.

Through the clever combination of already existing visualisation modules, an individual application design could be implemented for each vehicle and operated on the basis of SiteKiosk Online. The stand visitors had the opportunity to operate the terminals themselves and thus enquire about the respective exhibit with an increased attention rate and actively navigate through the technical data.

The Erwin Hymer Group developed a modern, interactive and secure trade fair concept thanks to the versatile application possibilities of SiteKiosk Onine. Before and during the trade fair, SiteKiosk Online helped to transfer the desired content to the many different terminals in a suitable and up-to-date manner and enabled a high presentation speed of the media used.

All information terminals ran in a tamper-proof operating mode and could be easily managed centrally via a browser. High availability of the stelae was ensured by local buffering of the data and there was no operational failure at any time.

The Hymer Group’s successful trade fair project with SiteKiosk Online ideally demonstrates how the combination of an interactive information terminal with a secure kiosk application can increase trade fair presence and improve the customer approach. Thanks to the use of existing CMS data of the Hymer Group, the implementation of the entire project could be carried out in a few weeks.

The combination of artificial intelligence and modern kiosk technology raises the shopping experience in stationary retail to a higher level. By analysing the questions and wishes entered by the customer, the AI determines which products and offers could be interesting for the user and presents them graphically and with detailed background information. It is possible to be guided through the product range by means of suggested or own questions in order to find the desired tablet or smartphone at the end of the process.

The architecture of PROVISIO’s AI Product Advisor is generally reminiscent of the very well-known AI software ChatGPT. The data basis of the AI advisor contains all essential information of the product range and can be permanently extended by feeding in knowledge from heterogeneous data bases (operating instructions and manuals).

Thanks to the extensive data sets, the AI is also able to answer previously unpredictable questions. An example is the question of how to activate a certain function within a smartphone or tablet: For example, if a customer wants to know how to activate the GPS function of a smartphone, the AI product advisor can directly present the corresponding instructions, whereas a human employee might have to look in the physical manual first. It is important to mention that the user manual must be included in the data source in digital text form to enable semantic search. The AI product advisor therefore not only helps customers in the product discovery phase, but can also be supportive for employees on site to avoid lengthy look-ups in user manuals or similar.

Extensions of the prompts and the data sets are implemented manually. This makes it possible to respond to search trends or to implement new products and special offers in the data set. Obsolete data can also be easily removed.

Stationary retail for smartphones and tablets serves as a first example of how an AI application can be combined with a kiosk solution. With the help of the AI connection, products outside the norm or markets for niche products can also reach end consumers in a more targeted way.
