Support Request: Web Page Keeps Closing.

When opened in chrome option page just closes. when open in IE, page loads and works, but none of the videos play for our employee trainings. Stopped working about a week ago. We need it working under chrome, because we need to access other websites that aren't supported under IE
Also tried different versions of sitekiosk, and also tried on fresh sitekiosk install (not our config)

Thank you for your inquiry. Please provide the web link that is causing the crash and the steps to replicate the issue. If it is behind a login page, please email us the details needed to do so or provide a demo page for the service vendor you are using.

Generally, we would ask for these files to assist in troubleshooting the issue:

- Configuration - C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\Config (*.skcfg files, ignore *.skcfg.local)
- SiteKiosk Log files - C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\Logfiles (yyyy-mm-dd.txt files)

ce-lexa.com is the link for the website. It doesn't even get to the login part of the website. Even on fresh sitekiosk install, if kiosk page is set to start on ce-lexa.com, page doesn't load and closes.

Thank you for the update. This issue could be replicated with SiteKiosk Classic with the Chromium CEF engine. While this is not the same with SiteKiosk Online with Electron Browser. If you would like to tour SiteKiosk Online, you can find more information here: https://www.sitekiosk.com/sitekiosk/

SiteKiosk Classic and SiteRemote has reached legacy status. SiteKiosk Classic will be supported for browser updates and bug fixes only. We will still review on what is causing this issue. Otherwise, you can review SiteKiosk Online as possible future adoption for your case scenario.

Hello,

Thank you for your patience. Our team has concluded that this website has a code that causes the conflict: window.close() function. For whatever reason this is done, SiteKiosk Classic is honoring the request. You can check with the website vendor to explain that they should remove the window.close() call while loading the page. Otherwise, there is no bug for SiteKiosk Classic to fix. The behavior is exactly as how it was designed.
