Support Request: SiteKiosk Quick Start Not Loading

Description

SiteKiosk Quick Start will not consistently load so I may change the account SiteKiosk uses. I have uninstalled SiteKiosk, Deleted C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk, and Deleted HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\Provisio, then reinstalled. Quick Start might pop up once but not again. "ShowQuickStart", "ShowCustomized" and "ShowStartSettings" aren't listed in the registry.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. SiteKiosk Quick Start is opened by launching "C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\SiteKiosk.exe" in your admin account or other standard user. Either there are security actions against SiteKiosk program directory or other domain security settings. You can do a keyword search in Windows Event Viewer for "SiteKiosk" under Applications or System for any related logs. Or evaluate any recent domain changes where the security was increased or place SiteKiosk device in a domain with as close to default Windows settings as possible.

If the issue is not as severe as to prevent SiteKiosk from launching. You can create a Startup XML file on another device that has the Quick Start functioning, create the startup.xml file to call skstartup.exe on this affected device to set Auto Start settings.
