Martin Kurze: “The new shop design is much leaner, clearer and more clearly structured. Our SiteKiosk products and the corresponding new subscription models can be freely selected and ordered with little effort. Resellers now have the option of ordering different quantities of the same product for different customers in a single order process. The allocation of licences to end customers has also become even easier for resellers.”

What can customers and partners expect from the restructured SiteKiosk web shop?

MK: “The previous shop required many actions and clicks. To save time and reduce effort, the ordering process has been greatly compressed and simplified. Existing customer data is automatically used as delivery and invoice data, but different addresses can also be easily stored for this purpose. Licences and product upgrades can be ordered with just a few clicks and in the shortest possible time. A permanently visible shopping basket also provides an overview of the selected products.”

What happens after the purchase is completed?

MK: “Once the purchase has been successfully completed, the customer or reseller receives a booking confirmation and, in the case of SiteKiosk Online Cloud products, the licence key and invoice directly and automatically by email. This means that the ordering and delivery of these licence types is independent of our working hours. The customer can start using SiteKiosk Online at any time.”

Are new SiteKiosk products available in the shop?

MK: “At the request of many customers, we now also offer SiteKiosk Online Cloud licences on a subscription basis. The buyer is free to decide whether a licence should be automatically renewed or not. The customer can adjust and change this decision at any time in the licence overview of the shop.
The status can also be viewed in the SiteKiosk Online licence overview. When selling via partners, the software user can contact the retailer directly and request a purchase or an offer (automatically). This feature can also be used, for example, to integrate a purchasing department in your own company.”

All data generated is stored in the USA in order to fulfil certain US regulations.

New teams can now choose which server location they want to use for their projects. Existing teams will continue to use the EU server sitekiosk.online.




To simplify the management of licences, licences can now be merged in the licence area. The number of licensed clients and the end date of several licences are combined in one licence.

At the same time, “Automatic renewal” can now be activated for licences. This automatically extends the licence by one year before the expiry date. The renewal function can be activated in the user account at www.sitekiosk.com.

In addition to the new SiteKiosk server and optimised licence management, a window blocking rule has been integrated for new Windows 11 ad campaigns: Unwanted adverts and banners displayed by the operating system are actively blocked.

Electron has been updated in the client to version 29.1.4 with Chromium 122.0.6261.129.

The system update also includes some bug fixes and further optimisations.

The installer is now available.

This day offers school pupils the opportunity to spend a day getting a taste of companies of their choice and familiarising themselves with the corporate culture. This day is also known as Future Day for Boys and Girls, providing them with important insights into promising professional fields.

PROVISIO GmbH was visited by Zoe, Pauline and Dexter at the Münster site. In short texts, the three describe what they experienced that day:

Dexter, 12 years old, said:

‘I was at PROVISIO GmbH on Girls and Boys Day and saw a lot: for example, a lift-and-learn solution and a chip system. With the lift-and-learn devices, you could lift an Eiffel Tower and a possible trip to Paris was shown on the kiosk display. The chip system was about how to log in and out as an employee or what to press when taking a break. We then went to the offices of the individual employees. We met marketing staff, software developers and programmers. The online shop and important things in accounting were explained to us. Finally, we met the boss. He explained to us how everything works here and what he does.’

Zoe, 14 years old, reported:

‘First, the company founder showed us some examples of how to make transfers, i.e. how the money is transferred when a product is purchased. We then looked at an interactive kiosk solution and also created our own project. We then took a tour of the company and learnt which tasks are carried out in which offices. These included the design office, the marketing department and the development area, where scripts are written and software bugs are fixed. We also looked at how the website is designed and how to buy a licence in the online shop.’

Pauline, aged 14, added:

‘We have trialled a terminal where employees can sign in and out with a chip. It shows how long they have already worked that day and which employees are not there.’

The now available update to Version 1.4 must therefore be initiated manually one last time. Subsequently, all future versions can be performed directly through the automatic update function.

Additionally, the pages for the machine log and team auditing have been redesigned, now allowing filtering and searching for specific entries.

Two new menu designs have been added as project templates. These are available in both vertical and horizontal variants.

For accurate analysis, the Playlog for pop-ups must now be exclusively enabled in its properties. In previous versions, this was implicitly counted.

Pop-ups can be manually positioned instead of always being centered.

Furthermore, various bugs have been fixed, and technical optimizations have been implemented.

A core function of SiteKiosk Online is the effective protection of digital kiosk applications against manipulation and system outages. As software, SiteKiosk Online also takes over the design, centralised management and real-time monitoring of the digital media technology used. In combination with fire protection-optimised and certified digital info displays from gekartel AG, there are many new possible uses for digital media technology in sensitive areas such as public spaces. Digital building panels in the housing and property industry are among these applications and are installed in sensitive areas such as entrance areas, stairwells or escape routes.

The German company gekartel AG has focussed on the fire hazard potential and the risk of fire arising from digital media technology. On the one hand, components such as a light metal housing with a very low fire load are used. An expert opinion from MPA Dresden GmbH certifies that there is no increased fire load due to the fire protection monitors with touch. In accordance with DIN EN 13823 and DIN EN 13501, complete fulfilment of all criteria for the classification of non-combustible and flame-retardant building materials (for building material class A2-S1, D0 or B-S1, D0) has been certified. In addition, gekartel has added the first VdS 6024-certified series devices with device-integrated fire protection to its product portfolio.

Classified as electrical appliances, digital domestic panels entail an increased risk of fire. Around 33% of all building fires are caused by electrical appliances. This percentage is the leading cause of fire. This risk of causing a fire makes the digital whiteboard a potential source of danger, which in the worst case can lead to major building fires and thus endanger human life.

In close cooperation with JOB GmbH, a device-integrated self-extinguishing system was therefore developed for the Digital House Panel, the main component of which is the “smallest fire extinguisher in the world”, the E-Bulb™ from the JOB Group.

The extinguishing system consists of a small ampoule filled with extinguishing agent that bursts at a certain trigger temperature, releasing the extinguishing agent in the housing and extinguishing the fire immediately. At the same time, the power supply in the appliance is interrupted.

The integrated fire extinguishing system therefore enables fire protection-compliant operation of digital house panels in sensitive areas in accordance with VdS 6024. This significantly minimises the risk of a device fire in escape and rescue routes, for example, and virtually eliminates the risk of fire spreading through electrical devices.
