Support Request: Custom Program buttons not supported in Chrome

Description

We need to switch to Chrome to access websites now, in IE setup we had custom program buttons on toolbar, when we pick Chrome, it does not allow us to select Custom program button to launch EXE.

- Does Sitekiosk support custom program buttons to launch EXEs like in IE? If so, what version?

- We do not want the Programs button that switches to list of programs either, we need to use the custom program buttons that can launch an EXE on top of the current page.

Thank You

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. SiteKiosk 9.1 is out of support. Generally, that feature calls for the location of your executable using file:// protocol (switch protocols for websites). When launching programs, you would want to ensure that the user account (domain or local) would have access to that folder. You can test a new configuration file to see if you would get different results. You can try using double quotes for program paths that include space characters, "C:\Program Files (x86)\My Program\MyExecutable.exe".

Also please test a most recent version of SiteKiosk (no license needed for testing; to keep the new version, you can purchase a SiteKiosk Version Update or contact Sales: sales-america(at)provisio.com ) - https://www.provisio.com/en-GB/Downloads/Download.aspx?ItemId=1
