Archive: Storing Passwords on Database

Description

Hi,

I am trying to insert about 5000 users into sitecafe, but can't figure out what encoding is being used directly on the database. I read somewhere it was a hash, is a standard one being used?

Thanks.

Hello,

please specify what you mean by encoding in regard to the database.

It is recommended to use the Create methods provided by the SiteKiosk Object Model (part of the SiteCafe Server Object) to add entries to the database.

If you are able to export your user list to a CSV file, we have an example script which automatically creates users from a list in a .csv file.
If you're interested you please send a mail to
