Support Request: SiteKiosk wants to terminate at beginning of login screen

Description

Every time I get the program to start it gets to the start page and then gives me the screen "Please wait while SiteKiosk has been terminated properly. This will take several seconds." I get this screen the entire time I am trying to get to the next screen. This screen comes up even while I am trying to enter the password to exit the program. It is constantly showing this screen square every 5 seconds. it doesn't matter if I use a new different configuration or even an older one, it still does the same thing.

Thank you for your inquiry. I did not get exactly your scenario but my SiteKiosk browser did not load on startup. You will need to restore the default values found in URLs/Paths. To make it easy, you could create a new configuration file to copy down the values and re-enter them in your configuration file. Or start new with your configuration file and use an address list text file (example found under Address List in Surfing Area Settings, See section 2.0 https://www.provisio.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/surfing_area.htm). Abuse of that folder $(SiteKioskPath)\xml\ is not possible. SiteKiosk is a security software and browser. Removing some of the default folders in URLs/Paths and SiteKiosk will lose access to its own resources like in your scenario. Logging out with SiteRemote username and password does work as well.

If this does not solve your issue, please send a copy of your log files found in C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\Logfiles (yyyy-mm-dd.txt) along your current SK and Windows version details to support-america(at)provisio.com referencing this forum post.
