Support Request: PDF Redirect not working in restricted user mode
Sitekiosk is setup to use Chrome Browser.
Downloads are allowed.
I did not install a separate PDF-reader.
I have a startpage consisting of a few links to webpages. One of them leads to
https://www.ivn.nl/afdeling/alphen-aan-den-rijn/bont-allerlei
On this page you find links that will download a pdf.
When I run SiteKiosk in test mode as admin the links work ok. A new window pops up with the PDF in it.
However, when I start SK automatically with the restricted user it fails.
I see a grey image of some kind of vault. Then it flickers and I am back at the start page.
I do not see an error message. Also the logs do not show an error.
I tried several things:
- Open pdf in Sitekiosk. The grey screen stays open and Sitekiosk becomes unusable.
- Open in designated program. The grey screen is shown a while, then it flickers and I am back at the start page.
- Via the System Security Manager I removed all restrictions of the restricted user and I added the user to the administrator group. No difference.
Direct links to PDF's open ok.
What can I do to make it work?
