Support Request: GMail Login Issue

Description

We are using Sitekiosk 9.5 with Chrome skin for more than 3 years.
But we found cannot login Gmail recently, and get following error from Google service,
"This browser or app may not be secure"

We have modified "UserAgent" as FAQ below

But it doesn't work.
Is there any update?

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. The best option is to update to the latest SiteKiosk version. Changing the user agent was a temporary solution at the time but Google Accounts require browsers with older versions up to a certain point. You could try to update the user agent to match a more modern one. Doing that will misrepresent the new features available to more updated browsers versions.

Otherwise, using the newest SiteKiosk version will require an updated license less than 1 year old (free to test without a license as long as needed). Chromium CEF updates are included periodically to keep Chrome Browser skin updated. You could follow previous release notes here - https://www.provisio.com/en-US/Downloads/VersionHistory.aspx to help determine how often you will need to keep SiteKiosk updated (Annual Maintenance vs Version Updates purchase options).

Also note that when using the latest SiteKiosk version, you will need to set the configuration user agent XML settings back to default. See:
