Support Request: Mouse does not move across entire surface of the monitor

Reproduction

Restarting the system does not correct the problem

Description

The mouse can move all the way from the far left to about 60% across the screen towards the right and all the way from the top to about 60% downward the screen. Objects that are on the far right side of the screen or on the bottom cannot be accessed.

Within Windows 10 Pro, latest patches have been applied, the screen resolution is set to 1280x1024. The screen does have information filled completely within the screen.


How do we get the mouse to travel to any point on the screen?

Thank you for your inquiry. Generally, there is no known problem with what you are experiencing. SiteKiosk does not interfere with the display drivers or any drivers on the Windows system.

-Can you confirm if the “Scale and layout” on Windows setting is configured to anything other than 100%? (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027860/windows-10-view-display-settings) [user dependent Windows setting]
-Does this happen in both Start Once and Auto Start?
-Can you try returning the display settings to default?
-If all else fails, please send a copy of the SiteKiosk config file and a description to reproduce the problem including images of your display settings. Also please confirm the type of hardware used(monitor, Surface Pro). You can send them to support-america(at)provisio.com referencing this post.

Problem still persists. Verified scaling is at 100%. I set the display back to Microsoft Windows 10 Pro recommended setting of 1680x1050 from our desired setting of 1280x1024. Happens in autostart mode. Did not verify in start once mode.

Mouse moves freely across 60% width/height of the display. Cannot go to very right/bottom of the display.

Tested in Start Once by "deactivating start settings" then logging on as SiteKiosk restricted user and double-clicking the SiteKiosk icon on the desktop. SiteKiosk launched and the mouse was unrestricted across the entire desktop. Returned the configuration to AutoStart and the mouse is working as expected -- unrestricted screen access of entire desktop..

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. At times, there are some programs and Windows features that will need to run once unrestricted in the Restricted User account in order to function properly. Though there are no known issues with mouse/display drivers and SiteKiosk, it could be that there was one that needed to run once.
